Hey guys as we continue on our blog of surviving the holidays, we have yet another very important aspect of fending off weight gain during the holiday season. SLEEP!!! Sleep is so important and affects so many different aspects of our lives. Stress management and overall health demand that we get adequate sleep, so it should be at the top of the priority list. The best way to ensure proper rest is to set regular bedtimes. Avoid or cut down on caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco; these will all disrupt your sleeping patterns. Also, eating too much food close to bedtime adversely affects slumber as well. So remember to make sleep a top priority this season, not only will you feel better and have more energy, but you will be better able to fend of the feelings of stress from being overwhelmed. So be sure to rest up people!
